Rajiv Satyal is a talented Indian-American comedian who has played in Toronto and all over North America. He hosts the Funny Indian Podcast which can be heard on his website . What's the most common response when you tell people you're a comic? "Tell me a joke. Say something funny. Make me laugh." Do Indian-American audiences have a different sense of humor?  It all depends. My parent's generation still prefers heavily Indian jokes because they're hungry for content that reflects the South-Asian/Indian diaspora. Must always use the word "diaspora" when describing Indian things. My generation wants something different. Like the phrase, "All the great paintings have been painted", I think all the best material about being Indian has been done. This is a light thin wafer bar with peanut butter that tastes good. It's not too sweet and priced at $1.49. 3 grams of saturated fat and 7 grams of sugar, which is a lot less than the norm.

2013 had it's fair share of interesting events in Toronto, but five stories stood above the rest. 1. Rob Ford Crack Scandal Rob Ford brought shame, fame, infamy, and celebrity to himself for smoking crack and eventually being forced to admit it in 2013. He was the talk of every news show in North America and beyond for his admission of smoking crack. 2. Ice Storm Power outages impact a quarter million residents of Toronto in December as an ice storm drops several trees and branches, knocking out power in homes across the GTA. 3. James Forcillo of the Toronto Police shoots Sammy Yatim in a streetcar, which was a blantant use of excessive force, and was caught on camera. 4. Floods in the summer mess up Toronto's subway system, costing the city over $60 million. 5. The Toronto Maple Leafs blow a 4-1 lead in game seven of their playoff series with the Boston Bruins with just 11 minutes left to play. The loss shell-shocked Leaf fans across Ontario.
